THE CENTER FOR HOUSING & WELFARE / NO MORE GOING FROM PILLAR TO PILL

Everyone wants comfortable living, now and in the future. But finding suitable housing can be difficult. Perhaps your health is deteriorating and you're becoming less mobile. What's the best course of action? Should you move to another home? Or can you stay in your own home with assistance and adaptations? How do you find suitable housing?

Center for Living & Wellbeing

Even if you're still fit and healthy, but want to prepare for the future, you're very welcome. The Center is open to everyone and is free of charge. Our young residents, who want to prepare for independent living, are also welcome to come here with their questions.

The Housing and Wellbeing Center is accessible. It has an informal atmosphere. Coffee is always ready, and we want to avoid sending you from pillar to post. That's why several organizations collaborate here. The Center for Housing and Wellbeing is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Municipality of Oosterhout

Available: Friday from 9am to 1pm

On Friday mornings, you can drop in without obligation to speak with someone from the municipality. Things might be getting harder due to your age or other reasons. There's someone there to listen to your question or problem and offer advice. Perhaps there are options you're not yet aware of. Together, we'll explore answers and possible solutions, and if necessary, we'll take immediate action.

Home investor

Available: Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 1pm

Are you just starting out on the housing market, or preparing to live independently for a longer period? Feel free to drop in with all your questions, no appointment needed, and with no obligation. Thuisvester, along with the other organizations present, is there to ensure your question is answered or your problem is resolved effectively.

By collaborating with other agencies at a single location, Thuisvester (Home Provider) allows residents to go to a single point of contact. Working under one roof gives the organizations a better understanding of each other's work, which shortens communication lines.

5 Thuisvester employees are available to assist you and each work at the Center on a fixed day of the week

Oosterhoutvoorelkaar

Oosterhoutvoorelkaar has been a familiar face in Oosterhout's town center for years. Many matches between volunteers and those seeking help are made here. The website provides the necessary information about volunteer opportunities and those seeking help. Those with digital skills can easily find the perfect match themselves. If you're less savvy, or need help and advice, one of the staff members will be happy to assist you.

Oosterhoutvoorelkaar is located at Kerkstraat 19, is present every morning and the coffee is ready!

ANWB Automatic Car

The transport service AutoMaatje has been in existence for 5 years now.

AutoMaatje offers customized transportation. Volunteer drivers will take you to your destination in their own cars. You pay 35 cents per kilometer. The driver can also accompany you if needed. What makes AutoMaatje so special is that it offers a wide range of options, from a trip to the doctor to a day trip to visit family who live far away. You'll be picked up and returned from your home and won't have to share the ride with other users. Ask about the many options available.

AutoMaatje is located at Kerkstraat 19, open every morning, and the coffee is always ready! You can also call us at 0162-471115.

Youth Volunteering #YOUNG

Oosterhoutvoorelkaar and Young belong together, but Young specifically focuses on our younger residents. Volunteering is definitely not just for older people. Young people have very different qualities and skills, such as the ease with which they can apply their digital knowledge. But young people can also learn from volunteering and further develop their skills. Through Young, they can come into contact with volunteering and experience how rewarding and enjoyable it can be. Young also offers a voluntary traineeship. Young volunteers receive guidance during their volunteer work for several months. This can be excellent preparation for the future and is also a great addition to your resume.
