THE CENTER FOR HOUSING & WELLBEING / NO MORE GOING FROM PILLAR TO PILL
Living comfortably, everyone wants it, now and in the future. However, it is sometimes difficult to find a suitable home. Perhaps your health is not what it should be and you are becoming less mobile. What is wise then? Do you have to move to another home? Or can you continue living in your own home with help and adjustments? How do you find a suitable home?
Center for Living & Wellbeing
Even if you are still fit and healthy, but you want to prepare yourself for the future, you are very welcome. The Center is there for everyone and is free. Our young residents, who want to prepare for an independent life, can also come here with their questions.
The Centre for Living and Welfare is accessible. There is an informal atmosphere. The coffee is always ready and we want to prevent you from being sent from pillar to post. That is why various organisations work together here. The CW&W is open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 13:00.
Municipality of Oosterhout
Available: Monday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
On Monday morning you can drop in without obligation to speak to someone from the municipality. It may be that things are not going so well anymore because of your age or for another reason. Then there is someone who will listen to your question or problem and can advise you. There may be possibilities that you are not yet aware of. Together with you we will look at answers and possible solutions and, if necessary, immediate action will be taken.
Home investor
Available: Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Are you a starter on the housing market, or are you preparing to live independently for a longer period of time? You can drop in with all your questions, without an appointment and without obligation. Thuisvester is present to ensure, together with the other organisations present, that your question is answered or your problem is solved in an adequate manner.
By working together with other agencies at one location as Thuisvester, residents only have to go to one counter. By working under one roof, the organizations get a better picture of each other's work and that makes the lines short.
5 Thuisvester employees are available to assist you and each work on a fixed day of the week at the Center
Oosterhoutvoorelkaar
Oosterhoutvoorelkaar has been a familiar face in the centre of Oosterhout for years. Many matches between volunteers and people seeking help are made here. On the website you will find the necessary information about the supply of volunteers and questions from people seeking help. Those who are digitally adept can create the ideal match themselves in this way. If you are less adept at this, or if you need help and advice, one of the employees will be happy to help you.
Oosterhoutvoorelkaar is located at Kerkstraat 19, is present every morning and the coffee is ready!
ANWB Automatic Car
The transport service AutoMaatje has been in existence for 5 years now.
AutoMaatje offers you customized transportation. Volunteer drivers will take you to your destination in their own car. You pay 35 cents per kilometer for this. The driver can also accompany you if necessary. The special thing about AutoMaatje is that there are many possibilities; from a ride to the doctor to a day at your family who lives far away. You will be picked up and returned home and do not have to share the ride with other users. Ask about the many possibilities.
AutoMaatje is located in Kerkstraat at no. 19, is present every morning and the coffee is ready! But of course you can also call us 0162-471115.
Youth Volunteering #YOUNG
Oosterhoutvoorelkaar and Young belong together, but Young specifically focuses on our younger residents. Volunteering is definitely not just for the elderly. Young people have very different qualities and skills, such as the ease with which they can apply their digital knowledge. But young people can also learn from volunteering and further develop their qualities. Through Young, they can come into contact with volunteering and thus experience how rewarding and nice it can be. Young also offers a voluntary traineeship. The young volunteer is then guided during the volunteer work for a number of months. This can be a good preparation for the future and it is also a nice addition to your CV.
